Student Led Movement

The Student-Led Movement (SLM) represents a sacred partnership among groups of like-minded students united by a common goal to ignite spiritual change. At its essence, our primary goal is centered on key aims: reaching individuals for spiritual growth, fostering soul development, and empowering students to engage in advancing the Great Commission. We not only seek to engage the spiritual dimension of the students' lives, though we are convinced that this dimension is the one center upon which all the others are held. We mentor, coach and provide platforms for holistic training of these young people. We have teams of our staff and volunteers that visit different high schools weekly to connect with identified students who in turn connect with their colleagues.  This mission transcends Eswatini’s academic settings and reaches out globally, promoting active involvement in fulfilling this vision.

The Student-Led Movement (SLM) is a united effort of students sharing a vision for spiritual change. Our goals include spreading faith, fostering spiritual growth, and encouraging students to actively participate in the Great Commission locally. We do this using the following tools; Study With Success ( SWS ) and College Ready which aims to empower the students in their academics, The Four and the Four Spiritual Laws, The Holy Spirit Booklet which is used as a follow up and mentorship.

SLM focuses on helping High Schools, Universities, and College students embrace their role in sharing the Gospel. Through teamwork and dedication, we aim to encourage spiritual growth among students, empowering them to make a positive impact in their communities and beyond.

Leadership development is a key aspect of our movement. We aim to create active groups on every campus and train leaders who can uphold Christian values in today’s world. Through mentorship and training, we prepare these leaders to initiate transformative projects that spark spiritual renewal across borders.

In essence, the Student-Led Movement is not just a plan; it is a significant force for spiritual and societal transformation. Grounded in the Gospel and guided by the Holy Spirit, we are committed to spreading Christ’s message and furthering His Kingdom in all areas of life. We ultimately seek to mobilize and engage thousands of these students across the high schools and institutions of this country. Through joint efforts and unwavering dedication, we endeavor to facilitate the spiritual awakening and maturation of Swazi students, empowering them to become agents of transformative change in their communities and the world at large. In essence, the SLM is more than a mere strategy; it is a dynamic force  for spiritual renewal and societal transformation. Grounded in the timeless truths of the gospel and propelled by the empowering presence of the Holy Spirit, we are committed to championing the cause of Christ and advancing His Kingdom agenda in every sphere of human endeavor.

Key Functions:

A. Prayer: Our focus on prayer encompasses personal devotion time, prayer and fasting, and revival for every student's heart. We promote corporate prayer among our staff and alumni through overnight prayer sessions, and we actively mobilize and coordinate high school students to engage in constant prayer within their fellowships, including through initiatives like the Five Minutes Prayer Mobilization.

B. Evangelism & Mission: We facilitate one-to-one evangelism through various means such as postcard gifts, 4SP, and segments from the Jesus Film. On-campus evangelism is a priority for us, utilizing PCS strategies, and we organize evangelistic events such as birthday parties. Additionally, we are committed to missions, including mini missions, break missions, and summer missions.

C. Discipleship: Our discipleship efforts include coaching zonal leaders and GC contacts by staff and alumni, as well as providing training for action groups and establishing new life groups to foster spiritual growth.

D. Leadership Development: We invest in the development of leaders, offering TOT (Training of Trainers) sessions for high school alumni, coaching student leaders, and providing training for action groups to equip emerging leaders with the necessary skills and knowledge.

E. Mobilization: We conduct Campus Bridge Seminars to mobilize students for outreach and organize evangelistic events such as worship gatherings and summer camps. Additionally, we continue our Five Minutes Prayer Mobilization initiative to maintain a consistent focus on prayer throughout our activities.
